CPF8 Friday Night Keynote Reading by CA Conrad

On November 1, 2024, we kicked off the 8th Cascadia Poetry Festival at the Hugo House with a keynote reading by brilliant poet and academic CA Conrad, introduced by poet, astrologer and CPL board member Matt Trease. Conrad spoke of their almost 50-year long history as a poet, the journeys they’ve been on and the relationships they’ve created in the name of poetry. Watch Conrad’s full reading below!

Thank you to Greg Bem for capturing pieces of this footage and taking the image of Conrad above. Thank you to Savannah Bulloch and Angel Cruz for capturing more of this footage, and to Angel Cruz editing the video. Thank you so much to Matt Trease for the beautiful introduction, and thank you to CA Conrad for joining us in Cascadia and sharing your endless insight and warmth.
