CPF9 Invocation and Panel Video!

On October 11, 2025, we started the second day of the 9th Cascadia Poetry Festival with a invocation, land acknowledgment and panel at the Rainier Beach Community Club. The invocation and land acknowledgment featured Ken Workman, 5th generation great-grandson of Chief Seattle. The panel The Practice of Self, The Practice of Cascadia featured poets and scholars Roberto Harrison, Alicia Hokanson, Brandon Letsinger, Lorin Medley and Robert Michael Pyle discussing the ways in which a deeper connection to place leads to a deeper connection to self and surrounding community.
