You left off Georgia, the state from which I write. I hadn’t thought of it before, but I can see how people are going to sign up thinking they are in this year’s fest and will actually be in next year’s.

Thanks for the updates! I relied on an Excel sort function by state, so those who did not fill in the two letter state abbreviation were left off.

    Paul,

So am I reading the message correctly that the timeline is that registration for #13 (2019) ends at midnight on the 18th and then registration for #14 (for August 2020) begins at 12:01 am on the 19th?

  6. Splabman

Yes Walter. Confusing, I know. I am grateful for your continued inspired fest participation.

In this session it will be a presentation of how the postcard fest developed, how the daysong developed, how I prepare for the fest and how participants attending prepare for the fest, as well as how to prepare for a successful daysong. The similarities of the daysong to serial poetry could be discussed, as well as the effort to put one’s self into the open, which has benefits in one’s own life.

This interview with Postcard Poet Laura Gamache, a Seattle who has published poetry in the usual places, such as chapbooks, journals and anthologies, and also unusual places, such as buses, is the first of the series.
