Wisconsin postcard poet sends news:

Hi Paul–

I’ll be giving a presentation at the U. of Wisconsin-Stout in celebration of Nat’l Poetry Month this coming Mon. Apr. 12 @ 7:00 pm CDT. I’ll be reading several postcard poems from last year, along with the photos, or in one case, collage, that I used. I’ll be reading other poems also. A fuller description is in the website article (see below) from the University of Wisconsin–Stout. My portion will be virtual. There will be some actual people in an auditorium, but the event also will be  virtual. It’s my understanding that if people attend my reading, they can stay for the poetry workshop that follows if they want to, or they may exit.

I’m wondering if this can be posted on the PoPo FB page since I’m reading some postcard poems?

Hope all goes well for you,

Karen

Postcarding & Daysinging (A Workshop)

Postcarding and DaySonging (A Workshop). In this session it will be a presentation of how the postcard fest developed, how the daysong developed, how I prepare for the fest and how participants attending prepare for the fest, as well as how to prepare for a successful daysong. The similarities of the daysong to serial poetry could be discussed, as well as the effort to put one’s self into the open, which has benefits in one’s own life.
