Hard to believe it is one month until the start of the 2022 Poetry Postcard Fest. Registration is OPEN NOW and earlybird registration ends June 4.

On Saturday, June 11, 2022, you’re cordially invited to participate in a poetry discussion of how to take advantage of all the good juju of writing for 56 days and then how to expand your practice to include a very long poem. The workshop is called “Inside the Day Song” and will go into two epic poems that were written in 24 hours each, by Bernadette Mayer and Pierre Joris. Postcarding and DaySonging (A Workshop). In this session it will be a presentation of how the postcard fest developed, how the daysong developed, how I prepare for the fest and how participants attending prepare for the fest, as well as how to prepare for a successful daysong. The similarities of the daysong to serial poetry could be discussed, as well as the effort to put one’s self into the open, which has benefits in one’s own life.
