Paul, when you say “bring two poems” you mean poems that you wrote, not that you received, correct?
Lots of fun; daily practice and mailing got my mojo going: finding and sharing poetry born from images and everyday life. Less crafted precision and more spontaneity was enlightening. Thanks to you and all my group for the view into your hearts.

I’m a new participant of Poetry on Postcards and have loved every card I have written and received–so has my mail carrier! Our lives won’t be the same next week, but memories of postcards past will live on. I would love to Zoom in on September 1st and read a couple of my postcard poems but I live in New York State and can’t meet at 3:00pm EST. Darn. Let me know if you’ll be recording the open mic. I would love to hear it. I teach poetry in central New York and have a class lined up in October to teach the inspirational art of writing poems on postcards. Thanks for this terrific experience!

Unfortunately I will not be attending the open mic, but I would like to share that participating in Poety Postcards has been a wonderful experience. I feel a connection with each poet that I sent a postcard to and received a postcard from.
Alas! I am in a dream retreat in the Redwoods so unable to attend tonight. Your poems made my heart happy and my own poems and postcards were like nutrition for my soul. I will be there in my dreams tonight. I also would appreciate a recording if one is made. Thank you

Last week I tried offering a pdf of all my poems to everyone but realized it was jumping the gun. I removed the pdf. However, now that it’s September, and everyone has (in theory) sent their work, when is it a good time/appropriate time/tactful time to offer the poems? Today? A week from today? What do you think?

Unfortunately I’m unable to attend today. I was in two groups this year, 6 and 13. I’ve sent all the cards out, mostly small handmade abstract paintings in group six & mostly actual postcards in 13. One postcard came back to me yesterday & I resent it today in a card. It was clearly & correctly addressed but they chose to send it to me at the return address. I can con only assume the others all make it

Jim Dott, one our Oregon poets, participates in your Poetry Postcard Fest. Last Night at our Ric’s Open Mic in Astoria Oregon, Jim read 2 delightful poems from postcard’s he received. It delighted the room and maybe next year, there will be more poets from down here on the Lower Columbia Pacific and North Oregon Coast, looking forward to getting their mail.
