Poetry Postcard Fest 2024 Updates!

Thank you so much for registering for Poetry Postcard Fest 2024! We hope you are having an enriching and creative experience as you share your postcards with your group. Remember that a goal of the fest is to connect more deeply with the present moment, so take some time to connect with your surroundings when you write your first draft poems. If you need any inspiration, please refer to the resources on our website.

A few participants this year would like to extend their poetry postcard experience by sending postcards to people outside of their group! If you are comfortable having your address shared with these participants so that you can receive extra postcards throughout the year, please email your name and information to veronica@cascadiapoeticslab.org!

PPF 2024 REGISTRATION IS STILL OPEN, and Group 19 is slowly filling up! We will keep registration open until July 30 or until Group 19 is full, whichever comes first! If you’re enjoying your Poetry Postcard Fest experience, please spread the word to anyone you think would be interested in joining us this year! Thank you so much for being postcard poets. Happy writing!

Would love to be on the extended list. When I send to: veronica@cascadiapoeticslab.com!
It keeps bouncing back. Is this address correct?

Omit the exclamation, Abhaya, that should do it. Happy writing and receiving!

Yes, I tried leaving off the exclamation.
    It still bounces back.

In this session it will be a presentation of how the postcard fest developed, how the daysong developed, how I prepare for the fest and how participants attending prepare for the fest, as well as how to prepare for a successful daysong. The similarities of the daysong to serial poetry could be discussed, as well as the effort to put one’s self into the open, which has benefits in one’s own life.

Interview with Postcard Poet Laura Gamache

Part of the Cascadia 2050 mission is: to inspire artists and poets of the next generation to consider bioregionalism and intuitive poetic approach as a way to foster a more just and sustainable Cascadia by 2050. To this end, one of our goals is to interview people who help us spread awareness by having practices in their lives that reflect these values. This interview with Postcard Poet Laura Gamache, a Seattle who has published poetry in the usual places, such as chapbooks, journals and anthologies, and also unusual places, such as buses, is the first of the series.
