Who do you live for? Who do you work for? Who do you love for? Who would you die for? Who is your art for? In this week’s Living Room the focus will be on audience and readership. As a writer you might spend most of the time satisfying your muse, your inner psyche, or the dead spirits hovering around your shoulders, but a lot of writers struggle finding a relationship between their own work and those on the receiving end. Come out to the Living Room this week and you’ll find new ways to strengthen the direction of your written work, including interesting exercises that work to expand your idea of the audience, an engaging discussion on the perceived idea of the reader and audience, and ways to make your poems, stories and songs more personal or wide-reaching. Hosted by Greg Bem.

Living Room happens at SPLAB in the Cultural Corner of the old Columbia School, between Rainier AV S and 36th AV S, on Edmunds. We’re 2 blocks from the Columbia City Link Light Rail Station. Free parking is available on the school grounds.
