Cascadia Poetry Festival-Tacoma 2017:

The 5th Cascadia Poetry Festival happened October 12-15, in Tacoma, Washington!

It was staged as a tribute to Richard Brautigan and his daughter Ianthe participated. A plaque memorializing a house that was once to home, at different times, to Richard Brautigan and Steven Jesse Bernstein, was unveiled. The festival featured the launch of the anthology 56 Days of August: Poetry Postcards and the last Puget Sound reading by Michael McClure. Other featured readers were CA Conrad, Lorna Dee Cervantes, Patricia Smith, Tod Marshall, Sharon Thesen, Gary Copeland Lilly, Philip H. Red Eagle and other participants. The main venue was the Washington State History Museum.
