From Al Filries:

Dear Paul Nelson,

I am thrilled to announce that we are now taking enrollments for the second running of ModPo. Here’s the link:

ModPo Team

We start on Saturday, September 7. Ten weeks plus two days later, on Monday, November 18, we will conclude with another final live webcast gathering.

Most – and possibly all – of the ModPo TAs will be back, although some of them will no longer be in Philadelphia. Julia Bloch, our fabulous lead TA, will again be in that role.

With a few exceptions (we’re adding Wallace Stevens, for instance!) the poets and poems will be the same. The discussion in the forums will be new, of course – and once again we will host a series of live webcasts so we can respond to some of your questions and comments.

If you didn’t finish the course but enjoyed the parts you completed; if you finished but would like to delve deeper into the poems; if you enrolled last time but never really took the course at all – I certainly hope you will re-enroll. The link above takes you to a page where you can register.

If you have friends or family members who might enjoy the ModPo experience, please forward this message and encourage them to give it a try. The first of prednisone side effects two introductory videos (5 minutes long) can be found on the main ModPo registration page. The other introductory video – 20 minutes long, with all the TAs – can be found on YouTube here:

The current ModPo site, which you asked us to keep open, will close on September 6. The second ModPo course site will be at a different address and you’ll have to re-enroll in order to have access to the ModPo materials after 9/7/13. Meantime, I’m enjoying the ongoing discussions in the forums of our original site, as well as our discussions in the ModPo Facebook group and around our twitter feed (@ModPoPenn).

With best wishes from 3805 Locust Walk in Philly, where, by the way, you are always welcome! Always.

Al
