Dr. Rudolph Rÿser was the founder and board chair emeritus of the Center for World Indigenous Studies. This month, in honor of World Indigenous Peoples Day, Cascadian Prophets is bringing back this December, 2003 interview with him, in which he discusses the history and mission of the Center, and links between the U.S. American healthcare system and the “War on Terror”, all from his perspective as an indigenous man raised in the Cowlitz Indian culture in the U.S. Pacific Northwest Coast. With “more than forty-five-years worked in the field of Indian Affairs as a writer/researcher and as Indian Rights advocate,” his perspective continues to be an incredibly valuable one. He lived until October 10, 2023. More information on the Center for World Indigenous Studies at their site: https://www.cwis.org/

The original interview can be found here.
