Sharon Thesen Daysong Chapbook published by broke press

Iconic Canadian poet, educator and editor of Cascadian Prophets Sharon Thesen has released her newest chapbook “Day Song” though broke press. The chapbook takes from Thesen’s day song practice, exploring memory and grief after experiencing wildfire evacuation. From Clare Thiessen of broke press, “Day Song poses the questions: how does art withstand catastrophe? How does remembrance hold hands with loss?” There are few poets in Cascadia with more pure poetry perception than Sharon Thesen. Congratulations to Sharon for the chapbook release! This interview with Postcard Poet Laura Gamache, a Seattle who has published poetry in the usual places, such as chapbooks, journals and anthologies, and also unusual places, such as buses, is the first of the series.
