Thank you for supporting CPL on Giving Tuesday!

December 8, 2025
by Veronica Martinez

We have the deepest gratitude for everyone that donated to the CPL Annual Fund and to our Giving Tuesday campaign on December 2! As we’ve said before and will continue to reiterate: the success of Cascadia Poetics Lab’s programming is all thanks to the generosity of our supporters and volunteers. This year, your donations went toward supporting the human backbone of CPL — the people (including me!) and the overhead costs necessary for CPL to thrive and remain accessible to our community. We are dedicated to our movement against the use of AI replacing the hard work of people in the humanities and beyond, and we will continue to assure you that Cascadia Poetics Lab channels the passion and dedication of human beings in our programs. If you are curious about the structure of CPL’s operations, you can CLICK HERE or CONTACT US HERE.

Did you miss Giving Tuesday? No worries! We know this time of year is a busy time for many. Cascadia Poetics Lab accepts donations that go toward paying our staff and keeping our programs affordable all year long. You can DONATE HERE or support us by joining us for the 2026 Poetry Postcard Fest, registering for a workshop, sponsoring the Cascadian Prophets Podcast or volunteering! We’re excited for another year ahead of poetry and place in Cascadia, and we’re looking forward to seeing new and familiar faces in 2026.

In this session it will be a presentation of how the postcard fest developed, how the daysong developed, how I prepare for the fest and how participants attending prepare for the fest, as well as how to prepare for a successful daysong. The similarities of the daysong to serial poetry could be discussed, as well as the effort to put one’s self into the open, which has benefits in one’s own life.

Interview with Postcard Poet Laura Gamache

Part of the Cascadia 2050 mission is: to inspire artists and poets of the next generation to consider bioregionalism and intuitive poetic approach as a way to foster a more just and sustainable Cascadia by 2050. To this end, one of our goals is to interview people who help us spread awareness by having practices in their lives that reflect these values. This interview with Postcard Poet Laura Gamache, a Seattle who has published poetry in the usual places, such as chapbooks, journals and anthologies, and also unusual places, such as buses, is the first of the series.
