January 10, 2026
by Ryukan

From Leopoldo Seguel, the host and producer of Poetry Bridge at C& P Coffee Company in West Seattle:

Hello PoetryBridge community,
This coming Wednesday at C&P Coffee in West Seattle, January 7th from 6-8 PM (PST), my good friend and often time poetry collaborator, Koon Woon will be joined by fourteen poets (see poster) for a poetry reading celebrating Koon’s life and poetry. I hope you can be there for this special evening.

Although there is nothing like actually being there, for those of you who will be unable to come, I plan to live stream the reading on YouTube and record it for viewing later. The link is: https://youtube.com/live/0ZnEDmoAHEQ?feature=share

Koon Woon has been my friend for 30 years and published my book Haibun de La Serna. I composed a poem when I was offered an opportunity to read at this event and look forward to sharing it on Wednesday. Watch on Youtube if you can’t be in West Seattle and keep good thoughts for Koon. Paul E Nelson

The similarities of the daysong to serial poetry could be discussed, as well as the effort to put one’s self into the open, which has benefits in one’s own life.

Interview with Postcard Poet Laura Gamache

Part of the Cascadia 2050 mission is: to inspire artists and poets of the next generation to consider bioregionalism and intuitive poetic approach as a way to foster a more just and sustainable Cascadia by 2050. To this end, one of our goals is to interview people who help us spread awareness by having practices in their lives that reflect these values. This interview with Postcard Poet Laura Gamache, a Seattle who has published poetry in the usual places, such as chapbooks, journals and anthologies, and also unusual places, such as buses, is the first of the series.
