FREE Postcard Activation Events in Seattle this Spring!

JOIN US for a series of free outdoor postcard poetry gatherings in Seattle’s Rainier Beach neighborhood! Celebrating the 20th season of Poetry Postcards, these events will bring poetry, creativity, and place-based learning into neighborhood parks—highlighting their cultural, ecological, and community significance.

  • Guided Poetry writing activities
  • Personal Universe Deck exercises
  • Postcard-making/collage table
  • Park history/native flora
  • Youth-led programming by Cascadia 2050!

The first postcard activation event will be March 21, 2026 at Chinook Beach Park (9560 Rainier Ave S, Seattle, WA 98118) from 11 AM-1 PM PST. Celebrate the 20th season of postcard poetry and the arrival of spring by engaging with local parks and poetry! We hope to see you there!

    Programs look great. Sorry there doesn’t seem to be anything on Zoom for us far away folks. Wish I was closer!

This interview with Postcard Poet Laura Gamache, a Seattle who has published poetry in the usual places, such as chapbooks, journals and anthologies, and also unusual places, such as buses, is the first of the series.
