Los Cerezos Literary Festival, April 15 & 16, 2027, Seattle U

A celebration of diverse and marginalized voices aimed at amplifying Latinx/Chicanx writers through building an intersectional collective centered on readings, education and residencies. We intend to bridge the gaps between the public and the university through literary arts.

The “Los Cerezos Literary Festival” to be held in April of 2027, (and annually from then on) will be serving intersectional Chicanx/Latinx populations and the general public from the Pacific NW, about Chicanx and Latinx poets and writers.  We will educate, present and diversify the notion of “Latinx” by utilizing local talent and bringing in nationwide poets and writers to the PNW, that will diversify our evolving Chicanx/Latinx PNW culture. Exposing the Pacific Northwest to internationally-recognized writers is an essential part of our work.
