Seattle, WA – Wednesday, April 28, 2010, 7:30 p.m.

Columbia City Cinema hosts Seattle-based writer and performer Mary Lou Sanelli for an evening of storytelling and laughter. The Immigrant’s Table is Mary Lou Sanelli’s response to growing up first-generation American in an East Coast Italian household. She tells her story of the immigrant experience through poetry and family recipes, and in the process reclaims a heritage she once tried to escape. She brings her performance to Columbia City Cinema as a benefit event to help the community theater in a time of need.

Tickets: Suggested donation is $10, and directly supports Columbia City Cinema. Reservations and donations can be made through Brown Paper Tickets online, or by RSVPing to Paul Doyle at

The cinema hosts the weekly SPLAB Living Room, so it would be great if SPLAB fans could attend and help the cause of this important Columbia City institution.
