Support the Families of Tyjon Stewart and Traveiah Houfmuse

In late January, 2026, Rainier Beach teens Tyjon Stewart and Traveiah Houfmuse were tragically killed outside of Rainier Beach High School. This is a devastating loss to the Rainier Beach community and Seattle as a whole, and our hearts and support are with the grieving loved ones during this impossible and heartbreaking time.

If you have the means to do so, please support the families of the teens lost too soon. You can support the family of Tyjon Stewart through their GoFundMe by clicking HERE. Support the family of Traveiah Houfmuse through their GoFundMe by clicking HERE.

Seattle police are still looking for information on these sudden deaths. If you live in the Rainier Beach area and have any information, learn more about how to contact SPD with information by clicking HERE. If you have availability to go to Rainier Beach High School, you can honor the lives of Tyjon Stewart and Traveiah Houfmuse by visiting the shrine and created by community members, shown below. Light a candle or bring an offering. May the community stay strong and united in the face of such a devastating loss.
