The 100 THOUSAND POETS FOR CHANGE blog is up and ready!
Please go to http://www.bigbridge.org/100thousandpoetsforchange/ and check it out.
Open up the map and you can see the many cities that are involved. Go to your own city and check the organizer and contact information. As event information develops we will add information to the event page. Note that you can comment on the event page too! Invite friends to comment, post poems, photos, etc.!
The 100 THOUSAND POETS FOR CHANGE project is going very well. So far we have 75 cities representing over 15 countries organizing CHANGE. (And we have only been organizing for three weeks!) This grassroots movement has wheels! Let’s keep it going strong. Please invite friends to attend the event at the FB Event Page http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=106999432715571
Organize an event. Spread the word!
Thank you for your participation!
Best to you,
Michael Rothenberg
P.S. If you would be interested in curating an hour or two of this event at SPLAB September 24, 2011, please contact Paul Nelson: 206.422.5002, pen (at) splab (dot) org. We’re especially looking for interactive activities and work (poems, prose, essays, powerpoint demos) that address the theme of the need to change from the path we’re headed in terms of budget priorities, environmental catastrophe, endless violent military occupations, &c.
As of May 8 we have 140 cities representing 30 countries organizing for September 24, 100 Thousand Poets for Change. Onward! Look forward to the Seattle event! Best, Michael R.
