Having left Washington I feel left out!

So, just a note… I believe there are 3 of us in Arkansas now!! 🙂

I am so happy that the fest is growing and seeping into corners everywhere.

LOL I get that @Colette! I lived in WA for 39 years but recently moved to Montana. I know there are at least a few of us here though, I had at least one fellow Montanian on my ‘list.’ 🙂

First timer from Texas here and having a blast! Love the cards every day in the mailbox and challenging myself to paint a watercolor image on each card to go with the poem. Such a wonderful event and thrilled to participate. Happy writing, y’all!

  5. Jami M

    Hurrah!

That’s amazing… world wide!!! This is my 3rd year, just so fun and really stretches me out of my tendency to revise endlessly! Love the spontaneous movement from mind to pen! 🙂

  7. Karen Moulton

I used to live in Washington, too. Now I live in Flippin, Arkansas! Happy to be participating again.

@Karen Moulten, how funny! We only live 10 or so miles apart depending where n Flippin you are. I will PM you in FB.

That makes four poets in Arkansas. 🙂

@Megs. That is funny. FB message your (new) address?

Writing my postcards from Arizona . We have a vibrant poetry center here in Tucson at the university of Arizona. I wonder if you’d do an event with them someday like the July event in Washington state?

  14. Louise Millmann

I like seeing daily progress on the Facebook page.

Huzzah PoPo fest! Making cards and writing poems daily while receiving poems on postcards brings me such purpose and joy! Peace to you all!

  16. Arthur Tulee

It’s not summer in North America without the PoPoFest!

I need to crank up my game. I lean on words more than artwork. Gotta even it out some!

What a glorious pleasure it is seeing all the notions for what constitutes poetry & postcards! Both illuminating & inspiring. I do hope to hear from some of you about your creative processes soon … right now I’m wrapped up in the doing and loving it.

I’m having a great time writing postcard poems and creating some artistic statements with a few of them. I went to the flea market and found some vintage postcards. I am also using up a few of my pile of travel postcards sitting around, just gathering dust. I wasn’t sure if I could write all the poems but so far so good and I’m just about finished and even sent some postcards that weren’t on my list. I thought it would be fun to send some to Europe and Australia 🙂 I definitely will sign up for next year! Thanks so much for organizing this project. What a great way to spend a summer!

I’m an American living in Austria, and this is my first year participating. I’ve really enjoyed it! It’s given me a new way to experience my own creative process. I’ve also so enjoyed getting cards in the mail, seeing all the ways the collective project is interpreted and expressed. Only about half the postcards have reached me, and I can’t wait for the rest! Truly a gift sitting in my post box.

I adore the Fest !! There’s nothing like it to inspire and continue digging into my
imagination to create more verse especially on nature and concerning issues .
The area of Mobile Bay, AL is endless
with nature topics. I love the give and receive of the flow in and out of my mailbox
    with its little red flag.
I appreciate all the efforts of those who manage the list assembling !
The Fest makes a lot of people very happy I know. What an amazing idea in the first place!
    Thank You so very much!

I just finished my 5th year and I am already looking forward to next August.
